Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention. Older people and those with underlying medical conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, or cancer are more likely to develop serious illness. Anyone can get sick with COVID-19 and become seriously ill or die at any age.
Today we are facing a lot of challenges and struggles in our life. COVID-19 Pandemic leads us to experience worst scenario that we never dream of, it brings a big change in the world including the health of the people, the food system, livelihood and the studies of my fellow students. Millions of people are affected by this new normal and one of those is us, student.
This online class taught us to cry while doing our activities and requirements, it taught us to procrastinate, it drains us. Every night, we are attacked by anxiety and worst it may lead to depression. We are in the 2 consecutive years with online classes and honestly it's hard to learn and apply what we have learn through virtual meetings.
The following are the effects of online class to the students. The responsibilities as a daughter or a son to the family and as a student is very hard. You have to manage all your time doing the household chores and doing the requirements. Second, is the environment you are in. The noise of the people around you, the noise of the animals that surrounds you and distracts you while in online classes. Third is, not all the students are privilege enough to have laptops, personal computer, android cellphones and so on. Sometimes it made me think that, this online class is not for us poor people. Lastly, because of the poor connection, sometimes we cannot enter the virtual meetings because some are only using mobile data and it's very consuming.
This so called New Normal just made us weak and sad. It's like a wall that stops us to push through our dreams outside the world. But with all of these we must think that it will end soon and all will be alright in time. All the struggles and challenges of the people will pay off in time. We must stay strong and focus on the things that will bring us to the better world.
