Mental health issues are extremely common. When the pandemic occur in 2019, the virus covid 19 had spread and took the lives of many people. Due to this pandemic the traditional education replaced by flexible learning. Flexible learning is a type of education that uses technology to deliver content, such as blended learning or entirely online courses. Although students have adjusted to a new learning environment, many have struggled to adjust to this new normal. Online classes have affected many students mental health. In fact, mental health problems has increased.

Online classes has relation to the anxiety and depression, in the reason that lack of face to face interaction and taking an online class resulting of increasing social anxiety of the students. There has been a lot of concerns coming from the students that they are more struggling because of the slow internet connection. Taking online class needs to have a stable connection and slow internet is one reason that affects the mental health of the students. The fear that you won't be able to attend the classes and not get updated is the reason why there is an increased of anxiety and depression that led to suicidal/death of some students. Students are having a hard time to learn and to gain knowledge. In fact, students are more likely studying on their own and a series of requirements and homeworks has stressed the students even more because they fear that they might be late or unable to turn in the requirements or homeworks.

Online classes has a negative effect of the sleeping patterns and changes of eating patterns of the students because online learning seems to used all the time of the students and that's why students are feeling tired, drain, pressured, stress, and sometimes there is no enough time to take care of their mental health because of non stoping requirements. In addition, students were unable to concentrate well in class due to a lack of separation between home and school life, a lack of attention to a normal schedule, and distractions at home. As a result, students are struggling to maintain healthy diets and fallen into unhealthy sleeping habits due to deadline of the tasks and some of the chores at home.

It's clearly evident that the ongoing pandemic has made a huge impact on students' education, as well as their mental health. As a college student, I do experience those struggles taking online class that leads me to anxiety and stress. I had an unhealthy lifestyle due to the stress and I always experience mental breakdowns, but even though the world is changing do not lose hope and never give up. Take a rest and take time for yourself, it is not wrong to give yourself time. In fact, health is more important so that we have energy for the next challenge in life. Students in need of assistance and guidance should continue to be connected with counseling and other mental health counselors to whom they may entrust their issues and struggles. As of today, face to face classes might be possible because the number of cases of covid 19 is decreasing.
