The semester is almost finished. Most of us were stressed from the heavy loads of readings and requirements that we need to pass. So have you thought of any special place you want to visit? Read on as I will give you my top three best places to go this vacation.

The Bihing Tahik Resort

This is located at Barangay Pahut, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi. It has rooms that is good for 2-to-4-person, function rooms that can house 30-40 person, it has also a large and small cottage located near the sea which are very affordable.

The resort is clean and safe even for small kids, because of the presence of many beach guards. To maximize you stay in this resort it is better to go there earlier and leave the place later in the afternoon.

This resort is also good for divers because it has rich diving spot. You can also rent some surfing boards, vest life, and many equipments that you can use in different sea activities.

It has also a new spot where you can feed different kinds of fishes. They are quite picky when it comes to foods so make sure that you bring breads that’s their food.

If you are interested, just pm the bihing tahik official facebook page to get the best accommodation. See you there.

The Bud Bongao Park

Many locals claimed that if one has not been to Bud Bongao then he has not visited Bongao at all. I totally agree with this.

Bud Bongao is inside the Bongao peak Eco – tourism park that was inaugurated last July 3, 2017. It has six limestone pillars that serves as its six peaks.

To get there. From Zamboanga you may take a 45- minutes plane ride that lands in Sanga- Sanga airport then take a tricycle to Bongao town proper then you another rides to Barangay Swangkagang. You can also offer the tricycle drive to go there directly from Sanga Sanga to Bud Bongao park.

The trail to Bud Bongao is already made, with at least 1700 concrete steps that can lead to the peak. There is also cottages along the way that serves as rest stops. To prepare this hike, I recommend you to at least have a plastic of bananas, water and snacks. Along the way you can also encountered several monkeys that’s why I recommend you to bring a bunch of bananas because some monkeys are little bit aggressive. In the top you can also see the Shrine or the tampat where some of the religious group of people go there. And if you reach the summit, it is where the breathtaking view of bongao. I promise you that bud bongao is worth to try despite of its 1700 concrete steps and monkeys challenges you have encounter.

The Sangay Siapo Beach

A beautiful small island off the coast of Bongao in Tawi-Tawi exists. It has a stretch of fine white sand where kids and kids at hearts used to play. It is surrounded by turquoise water with abundant marine life underneath, a small paradise for the locals. They call it Sangay Siapo Island.

Sangay Siapo Island with clear water where you can enjoy swimming and day trip picnics. The beach’s shoreline is lined with white sand, lots of tiny pebbles, corals and starfish.

There’s also a picturesque wooden pier on one side of the island.

The place used to have a resort, but the main structure has been abandoned. There are a few caretakers and families living on the small island, but visitors need to bring their own food and snacks if they plan to picnic here. Bring your own gear to try snorkeling at the coral reefs near here.Today, the island still exists but in the distant image of its glorious past. It is no Maldives but it is in the brink of disappearance due to the continuous quarrying of its white sand for commercial use. Sadly Sangay Siapo Island is slowly disappearing from the surface of the Earth.

When you visit Simunul Island, Sangay Siapo , you will ride a boat docked near the shore of Sangay Siapo. when the tide was in its lowest the boat could not come closer to the island. So you had to jump off the boat to a waist-high sea and wade ashore to reach the island’s small patch of dry land.waded to the water and walked for nearly a kilometer to reach the dry sandy part of the island. It is so small that one can get around in not more than 10 minutes in a leisurely lady-like steps. There is a little vegetation on the center, a rocky northern coast and sandy on the rest. Small as it is now and yet it is getting smaller day by day.

And this is my top 3 best places to visit specifically in Tawi-Tawi if, you have any suggestion of your top places to visit you can also share about it in the comment section or maybe make a blog about the place.

I really hope you guys can visit this place. I guaranteed you that this places is best to your mental health, you can relax, have fun with your friends and family.
