IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE

Life is full of surprises and things no one could predict. In life, unexpected events happen that we have to face no matter how hard it is nor how much we escape and avoid it, it could be happy or sad, meet a new person or bid a goodbye, tears of joy or tears of pain, have to take the rocky road yet the shortcut one or take the steady but long path, and learn a lesson from someone or be the lesson itself. Life is beautiful but not as easy as you think it is, it has problems and challenges that lie in your hands by facing them with courage, letting the beauty of life shines, and appreciating it, which makes it bearable and make you more at ease.

Our life changes due to the pandemic we are facing this day, it became more challenging than it used to be. Our normal and simple life had drastically changed and turns out to be something we didn't think not even imagine it to be. The effects of the COVID-19 panic have caused massive changes to our daily lives, changes that have often happened rapidly and abruptly. Life is not the same as we know it during a pandemic. The fear and anxiety of contracting the virus brought a kind of change that is unprecedented. Adjusting to the new normal is indeed a challenge for all of us, we have to wear masks every time we go outside and observe social distancing to avoid contracting the virus for our safety and our family, we have to sanitize now and then and be more careful.

Everything changed in just a blink of an eye, the life you enjoyed and cherish was drastically taken away and became a nightmare. Your normal life has changed due to the pandemic but the most heartbreaking thing that changes is the life that was taken away that couldn't bring back anymore. A life that you didn't expect to be taken away in just one snap without even a warning nor a signal, and living you dumbfounded and clueless on what and why does it happen. It made you regret a lot of things, things that you should have said and done while the person is still there and beside you. The deceased’s immediate family may not be able to say goodbye in person, leaving them without closure, and potentially feeling as though they weren’t able to do enough for their loved one. "As long as there is love and memory, there is no true loss," Cassandra Clare says and you should bear that in your mind. Mourn and move forward because life must go on, embrace the pain and after that let go of it. Free yourself from regrets to fully recover and move forward but never forget the person and the memories you've made together.

Pandemic slaps you that no matter how rich and luxurious a life you have, you couldn't escape from the reality that money can't buy time or life. Your money became useless when you couldn't buy the time that your loved one needs for them to live longer and stay healthy. But we couldn't deny the fact that money makes someone's life more easy, easy in a way that they have the privilege and power to purchase healthy foods that the less fortunate couldn't afford to. Rich people also have the privilege to be priorities in the hospital or health care facilities. Money can buy things that we needed and wanted but couldn't buy the time and the life of someone we loved, and that is a fact that we couldn't change.

Pandemic became a hindrance to us but this pandemic also made us realize what life is all about and what is the most important thing in this world. Although this pandemic made our life more challenging and let us deal with our problems more often we have to admit that because of this happening it made you a better person and molds you even more to be the best you can be. Realization hit us that everything could be taken away in just a blink of an eye, the life we enjoy and cherish turns the other way around, the pandemic turns to be a nightmare for us yet this nightmare awakes us that everything can change and be taken away drastically.
